2013? Content marketing? It’s simple…

Tony set up Collective Content in 2011 so brands can more easily become publishers and tell stories. This built on 15 years in media, from reporter to publishing director at Silicon Media Group, CNET Networks and CBS Interactive.

There are plenty of predictions flying about for the year ahead. And nowhere more so than in media and marketing circles.

What we’d like to say about content marketing is really simple: 2013

  • Companies will do more of it. There is no doubt about that.
  • They’ll do it because traditional – including online – ways of advertising and generating interest don’t provide enough value at any kind of effective level.
  • They won’t necessarily do it well – and those issues have to be worked on with experimentation and seeing what the best are up to.

So in 2013 we’ll be out there again, kicking to the curb some of the nonsense written and spoken about this emerging field and providing our services to businesses large and small, as well as media companies who will increasingly have to offer content services.

We’ll be introducing some new products along the way – we have to now.
And we thank the clients and everyone else who helped us get Collective Content (UK) off the ground in 2012.
